The Cajón started out life as a simple box played by sailors in Peru. The Spanish found that the sound of a Cajón went very well with Flamenco music, and it is now an integral part of Flamenco and percussion. Paolo De Gregorio makes us superb instruments with a beautiful front and a complicated dry snare mechanism pressing against the back of the playing face. |
